Do you find this to be true? Most of us have experienced heart break and loss of those whom we loved. First its a grandparent, then a parent, then all of these are gone, and you are the top dog. Please don't take offense at this term, I don't mean it to be offensive, just a little comical. Our hearts are first broken by a High School sweetheart.

When I was in 10th grade, and very nice boy used to sit next to me in the library every 3rd period. I had a break, and so did he. The only problem was he made me very nervous, because he sat and watched me, and I found him much too hungry for a girl friend. I told him after a few weeks to go away. He asked me when he could come back, and not very tactfully, I answered"never!" I was so mean! Oh boy, anyway, the next year he was no longer a skinny kid, and He made the football team. I was really sorry then! It's funny to even remember how young I was!

Thank God that He makes it clear to us in His Holy Word, that He loves us with an ever-lasting love. It doesn't fade, or grow cold, but stays alive even when our hearts are not. I can be much too up and down, but Jesus, our faithful Savior, does not waver, which is why we need Him so badly. When I concentrate on troubles, my faith falls head-long into despair. If I focus on Jesus, all of those same troubles melt into nothingness. Why, because my eyes change their focus. If I meditate on the truth, then I walk in truth. If I look at all of the despair and trouble in the world, my faith forgets that God has a plan, and He always has!

His plan will continue to be rolled out like a scroll, as the book of Revelation has said. Jesus will return to this earth, this time not as a suffering servant, but as a victorious King! And while we wait for Him, we patiently hold on to Him, love Him and complete what He has for us here. His love defies expectation, and will continue to amaze us, as our awesome, wonderful God fulfills His best plans here on the earth. The enemy is angry, but he is defeated. As he rages, we come closer to the day when "he is coming in the clouds, and every eye shall see Him. {Revelation 1:7} What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see, and I look upon his face, the one who saved me by his grace when he takes me by the hand and leads me through the promised land; what a day, glorious day that will be!
Hymn: "What a day that will be" by Jim Hill
